Originally opened as Lester State Bank in June 1945, this bank location has been in existence longer than any of our other locations in Northwest Iowa. Peoples Bank in Lester moved to their new building in March 2022. Throughout the many milestones in Peoples Bank history, one constant theme is our commitment to our customers and communities.

About this location
Look for our building’s brick exterior on Highway 9, as well as, our burgundy Peoples Bank sign and digital sign. Inside, our lobby features a fireplace to give customers a warm welcome during cold Iowa winters. We have a parking lot on the front and west side of the main entrance, which is wheelchair-accessible. When you need to bank on-the-go, you can use our drive up banking lanes, drive up ATM, and Night Deposit. We also offer Safe Deposit Boxes for rent that offer all the conveniences of a home safe. All of your important documents and valuables can be stored safely in our vault. No one has access to your safety deposit box except you.
At our Lester location, you can expect to be greeted with a friendly smile and a “hello” from everyone behind the counter. We also offer free cups of coffee to our customers.
