Peoples Bank Board of Directors Welcomes David Krahling
January 24, 2024
The Peoples Bank Board of Directors is pleased to welcome David Krahling as a new board member.
“Selecting board members for a community-owned bank like Peoples can sometimes be challenging. We always look for someone who has the respect of their community, their industry, their worshipping community, and their peers,” said Peoples Bank Chairman of the Board Joe D. Van Tol. “David has all of these qualities and more. We are very pleased that he has agreed to join Peoples.”
Krahling spent 18 years with the Sioux Center Community School District as a high school agriculture instructor and technology coordinator. He then worked for Interstates for 23 years, serving as VP of Business Development until 2000.
Krahling recently completed 15 years on the Sioux Center City Council, serving the last five years as Mayor. He also serves on the Premier Communications Board of Directors. Krahling is now semi-retired and continues to farm his family’s farm in Lyon County.
“Locally-owned community banks are a unique strength of Northwest Iowa. I am honored to be asked to serve Peoples Bank in this way,” Krahling says. “I look forward to learning more about the financial industry and applying some of my background in agriculture and business in new and different ways.”
