Peoples Bank in Sioux Center is excited to partner with ATLAS and Center for Financial Education (CFE) for the fourth annual Christmas For A Cause!

ATLAS (Attaining Truth, Love, and Self-Control) is a nonprofit ministry, committed to touching lives for Christ by walking with the hurting (emotional, physical and spiritual) in the local community. It is a mentor-based extension of local Christ-centered churches providing free, confidential, personal development services. ATLAS will work with professional counseling and support organizations in cases where professional assistance is needed.

CFE (Center for Financial Education), which is now part of ATLAS, offers free confidential financial counseling to families and individuals. CFE also offers Social Security Rep Payee services for those who have difficulties in managing their benefits, bills, and spending. We also offer a variety of classes to the public.

Funding for both ATLAS & CFE is provided through the blessings and generosity of donors. Many of these donors are former clients whose lives have been impacted in a positive way by these ministries. Learn more about ATLAS & CFE at atlasofsiouxcenter.org.

Christmas for a Cause will be held at Heritage Village in Sioux Center.

“We appreciate the Heritage Village Board’s willingness and enthusiasm for Peoples Bank to host Christmas For A Cause at Heritage Village,” said Peoples Bank Sioux Center President Dale Vander Berg. “They have a great space for this event, and visitors and our staff really enjoyed having Christmas For A Cause there last year. We look forward to hosting at Heritage Village again!”

Join us November 29 through December 31

The first three years, Christmas For A Cause has brought over 14,000 people to enjoy Christmas lights while supporting a local non-profit. The event is a walk-through Christmas light display and will run from Friday, November 29 through Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM each night.

“This event allows us to embrace part of our Peoples Bank core values by enriching families and communities,” said Peoples Bank Sioux Center President Dale Vander Berg. “This is a free family-friendly event where everyone can enjoy the Christmas light displays at Heritage Village and have the opportunity to support ATLAS & CFE.”

"We are so excited to have been selected by Peoples Bank of Sioux Center to be this year's Christmas For A Cause partner!” says Amy Keahi, Director of ATLAS of Sioux Center & CFE. “As we serve people in our community at no cost, we are grateful for this financial support so that we can continue to walk alongside individuals in Sioux Center and beyond. Thank you to Peoples Bank and to each donor for your support! We would love to see you out at Heritage Village as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together by the Christmas lights!"

While Christmas For A Cause is free, attendees can support ATLAS & CFE by giving a freewill donation at the donation boxes at the event or by giving online.
