On November 21, 2024, Peoples Bank in Sioux Center celebrated the completion of their expansion and remodeling project with an open house and a Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony.
Due to continued growth, Peoples Bank in Sioux Center broke ground on a two-story building expansion in September 2023.
The two-story addition was constructed on the north side of the building and includes a partial basement of 1,900 square feet, a main level of 4,625 square feet, and an upper level of 4,275 square feet. Ten offices and additional workspace were added on the main floor, and nine offices and additional workspaces were added upstairs. There are also several flex offices.
Peoples Insurance has relocated downstairs to allow for more room for Peoples Bank Wealth Management Group and the Mortgage Department.
“Peoples Bank, Peoples Bank Wealth Management Group, and Peoples Insurance have all been blessed with continued growth,” stated Sioux Center Peoples Bank President Dale Vander Berg. “This expansion represents our commitment to our community, customers, and staff. It also allows us to be more efficient to better serve our customers.”
Peoples Bank has served the Sioux Center community for 30 years. An office of a former bank was purchased in 1994, and that office became the Sioux Center Peoples Bank location in June of that year. At that time, the bank was located where ATLAS is currently located. Five years later, the bank relocated to a newly constructed building on the north end of Main Street. In 2012, Peoples Bank moved to a new building at its current location at 1701 South Main Avenue.
